Rory

six years later

Conor and I were married in a small ceremony shortly after I told him I was pregnant. Conor refused to wait a moment longer to get a ring on my finger, and who was I to deny him? Our twin girls, Fallon and Murphy, came screaming into the world on St. Patrick’s Day the following year, completing our family.

Today is Fallon and Murphy’s first day of kindergarten and I’m taking it better than expected. Only a few tears were shed while they got ready for school, but nothing major. Conor, on the other hand, is a different story. He’s been bombarding them with advice since they came down to breakfast this morning, wanting to make sure they both know everything they may need to know about starting school.

I smile down at the girls as I help them thread their arms through their jackets and pull on their matching backpacks. “You girls have a great day at school.” I plant a kiss on both of their foreheads as we step out the front door.

“Have a good day, girls!” My mom yells as she walks by the house, Conor’s mother following closely behind her.

Our parents have become thick as thieves since mine moved here shortly after Conor and I met. Not wanting to be too far from our parents, we bought a decent size house about a ten-minute walk from them. It was weird at first, but after the girls were born, it was comforting knowing they were only a short distance away.

“Thank you!” Fallon says with a smile as her sister goes running towards them, wrapping her arms around Conor’s mother’s legs.

“Siobhan said the boys are riding the same bus this year.” She smiles at me as I come to them. “There is nothing for momma to worry about.”

“It’s not momma that’s worrying,” I whisper in her ear as I wrap my arms around her before turning and doing the same for my mother.

“It’s always the men.” My mom mumbles, causing all of us to giggle.

“Hey,” Conor grumbles, giving both our moms a kiss on the cheek. “I see you two had to check up on them, too.”

“No, we came to check on Rory, but she seems just fine.” His mom smiles brightly before patting his cheek. “They have to grow up sometime.” She smiles, bending down to give each girl one last kiss on the cheek.

“Let’s get a move on so these four can say goodbye before the bus comes.” My mom squeezes both girls before they continue their walk down the road.

“Do you have your backpack?” Conor questions as he drops to eye level with the twins.

“Yes, Daddy.” They respond in unison, tugging on the strap of their backpacks.

“And we have our lunch boxes,” Murphy says with a roll of her eyes before striding towards me and wrapping her small arms around my legs. “We’re all grown up now, Máthair.” Mother

“What about…” Conor begins again before Fallon holds her hand in the air, causing her sister and me to giggle.

“And the billions of lucky charms you gave us.” She rolls her eyes. “It’s not like those things work.”

“Don’t talk bad about the charms, little one.” Conor looks up at me and winks. “Those charms brought me your mother.”

Both girls make gagging nosey as Conor stands up, wrapping me in his arms and pulling me into his chest.

“I’m going to be so bored today while you’re at school.” I smile before stepping out of Conor’s embrace and giving both girls one final hug.

I tried to go back to work after the girls were born, but I didn’t even make it the entire day. Thankfully, business is booming at Lucky Charms, giving me the option to become a stay-at-home mom. I do still work with a few non-profits when they need additional help, but nothing too strenuous or time consuming.

“You’ll be fine. Daddy said he’s going to stay home and keep you company today, just in case you got too sad.” Fallon’s entire body vibrates with excitement as she threads her hand through her sisters.

“Oh, he did?” I side-eye Conor as he shrugs his shoulders.

I doubt the last thing Conor has on his mind is keeping me company. Having twin girls leaves very little room for adult time. Tiny ears are always listening or coming barging into your room when you least expect it. I love my daughters, but I also miss my husband. Besides, I have a little surprise for him as well.

With their matching backpacks, the girls turn on their heels and head towards the waiting bus. Their bright red curls bounce around their shoulders as they climb on board, ready to start their first adventure without their parents by their side.

Conor and I watch the bus pull away from the curb, waving and shouting our love at the girls until it’s out of sight.

“I’m not ready,” Conor mumbles, shoving his hands into his pockets.

“They’ll be fine.” I wrap my arms around his waist, rising on my tiptoes and planting a soft kiss on the lips.

“Wait, I didn’t give them a kiss.” Conor pulls out of my embrace, rushing toward the truck, but I grab his arm, pulling him to a stop.

“Conor, the last thing they need is you storming in and scaring all of their friends away.” I giggle, reminded of the day the girls started preschool last year. Apparently, everyone does not teach their children how to share at an early age.

“That little girl was a shit. She should’ve never have been so mean to Fallon.” He huffs before turning toward me.

“And Murphy promptly took care of it. According to her, the only person allowed to be mean to Fallon is her.” I wrap my arms around his waist and lay my cheek against his chest.

He sighs, pulling me tightly into his chest, “I think I need a little distraction”

“Hmm, and what might that be?” I smile, heat immediately coursing through my body as all the filthy things he can do to my body filter through my mind.

“You,” Conor growls before crashing his lips down to mine.

“We have about six hours…” I gasp as we break apart, his cock hardening against me. “Are you sure you can handle that, old man?”

The entire world spins as he lifts me over his shoulder and storms toward the front, kicking it open with his boot. He thrust my body against the door, slamming it shut behind us. My head drops back against the door as he nibbles and sucks down my neck.

“We can’t do this here.” I moan as he grips my ass tightly in his hands, lifting both of my legs and wrapping them around his waist.

“Why the fuck not?” He groans against my neck, thrusting his cock between my legs, forcing the seam of my jeans against me.

“The baby,” the words pass my lips on a moan.

“What?” Conor pulls away, my body immediately missing the warmth of his pressed against mine.

It takes a few moments for my mind to catch up with what I said. “Shit.”

I reach forward, cupping his cheeks in my hand. “I had this whole thing planned for tonight. Wanting to give you the test while both girls had on matching big sisters shirts.”

Tears pool in his eyes as he drops his head forward. “Another baby?”

I choke back a sob as I nod my head, yes, happy tears streaming down my cheeks. Conor kisses me hard on the lips before scooping me into his arms and storming up the stairs.

Panic immediately grips my heart, wondering if this surprise was a little too much for the old man. We’ve been talking about having more kids since shortly after the girls were born, but we never got pregnant again. We went to see doctors, specialists, the whole shebang, but no one could tell us why I wasn’t getting pregnant again after getting pregnant so quickly with the twins. Conor never lost hope, telling me it would happen we least expected it.

Conor lays me gently on the bed before stepping back and pulling his shirt over his head and dropping it to the floor. “Thank you,”

“You’re happy?” I question, my eyes locking with his as he grips the waistband of my leggings and underwear, sliding them down my legs. “I know we’d decided we were done…”

Conor shakes his head slightly. “I couldn’t be happier. Rory, you’ve given me everything I never knew I needed.”

I lick my lips as he unbuckles his belt, shoving his boxers and pants to the floor. I sit up and pull my shirt and bra off, in a hurry to feel his skin against mine as he prowls up the bed.

“Yes,” I moan as he lines himself up with my pussy and thrust forward. My back arches off the mattress and my hands fist the sheets.

“I love you.” He grunts as he sets a fast pace; moving my legs around until he gets the perfect angle to hit all the right spots and have stars dancing behind my eyes.

“Conor,” I whine, the intimacy and completeness I feel when we’re together like this is beyond anything

My body tightens, every muscle tight as a bow string, ready to snap. “Yes, baby, give it to me.” Conor’s thumb rubs small circles on my clit, sending me over the edge. Pleasure engulfs my body as if I’m busting into a million pieces only to be put back together by him.

My body goes slack, and he drops on top of me, breathing hard; his head between my breasts. Wrapping my arms around him, I play with the damp strands of his hair. “I love you.”

“I love you too. Give me a few minutes to recover and we can go for round two.”  He kisses the side of my breast and I laugh.

“Are you sure you only need a few minutes, old man?” I bury my nose into his neck as cum drips down my thighs, and I smile.

A sense of fulfillment overcomes me as I imagine what life would have been like if I’d married Brandon. I never could have imagined that uprooting my entire life, running off to a different country, and taking a chance on a man I just met would lead to this. The perfect ending to my story.

“I really should’ve thanked Maya,” I mumble as I thread my fingers through his hair.

“What does Maya have to do with anything?” Conor lifts his head from my chest, his eyebrows pulled together.

“Let’s just say I’d never have come to Ireland if it wasn’t for her. But I’ll never tell her that or we won’t hear the end of it.” I giggle as he covers my mouth with his again.
